The number of pieces grew to 200 bikes per day and the number of employees was considerable with 300 men. As early as 1947, Wilier won the Giro d'Italia and other victories in prestigious races followed. Among them were successes in Belgium and in the Tour de France. It is thanks to the Gastaldello brothers that Wilier Triestina is still on the market today as a premium brand. Fans of Wilier bikes from an early age, they proudly took over the company in 1969. Wilier Triestina is more than just a bike. Behind it are tradition and success in cycling. The will for constant improvement drives the developers and designers. At Wilier, no one wants to rest on their laurels. The pursuit of innovation drives the team every day anew. Campagnolo is mostly used in race bikes from Italian production. SRAM and Shimano can be found on Gravel & Race bikes equally and also on MTBs.

The higher-end models, such as the Wilier Zero SLR Disc, Wilier Zero SL Disc or Wilier Cento bikes, use disc brakes. The inexpensive models are often supplied with rim brakes in the basic equipment. If necessary, these can be converted. For recreational riders, the easy to change rim brakes are the better alternative. The more ambitious the rider, the more important disc brakes become. They have the clearly better braking power and require less effort. This pays off especially in racing, when seconds are at stake. They master tricky situations better, as well as adverse track conditions. Disc brakes are more expensive to buy, but they pay back through their powerful braking performance.

Damper
