Wilier road bike - From racing to leisure, there is a road bike for everyone.
The Italian brand Wilier Triestina was founded more than a hundred years ago in San Fortunato, more precisely in 1906 by Pietro Dal Molin from Bassano del Grappa. However, the company's headquarters are now in Rossano Veneto.
After the Second World War, the Italian company had its own professional cycling team for a few years, which also rode under the Wilier Triestina name, and in 1948 they won the Giro d'Italia title with Fiorenzo Magni. In 1997, Marco Pantani, known as a pirate, rode the Tour de France on a Wilier bike and since 2020, they have been providing the bikes for the Astana Pro Team. The use in professional cycling also benefits the new products in the Wilier range every year, as the experience gained is regularly incorporated into series production.
The racing bikes are divided into three sections: racing bikes, endurance bikes, and leisure bikes, with options also available as e-racing bikes. The e-racing bikes are trimmed for maximum performance but also feature an integrated motor in the frameset, allowing you to master longer distances effortlessly.
The racing bikes include the Wilier Filante SLR, Wilier O SLR, Wilier O SL, Wilier Cento10SL, Wilier Rave SLR, Wilier Superleggera, Wilier Garda, Wilier GTR Team, or Wilier GTR Team Disc. Gear groups & brakes

Unlike MTB, suspension is unnecessary for a road bike, neither at the front nor back. Primarily, you ride on paved roads, and you don't want the added weight on a bike optimized for speed.

For wheels, which include rims, spokes, and hubs, the company mainly depends on its research, though Campagnolo wheels are occasionally used. Vittoria is the preferred tyre option, with choices like the Vittoria Zaffiro Pro or Vittoria Corsa Speed.
Additional equipment
Since you're after top speed on a road bike, it makes sense to add tight-fitting racing clothing to your shopping basket. Furthermore, it doesn't hurt to carry a few tools or spare parts to resolve minor issues directly, saving you time and money that you can invest in the bike or its equipment.
Which Wilier road bike best fulfills my desire for speed?
With a mountain bike, every trip to the bike park or the mountains becomes a pure experience. You can master downhill and uphill trails, depending on suspension travel and chassis geometry.
