The Bianchi Via Nirone 7 is available as an endurance road bike and gravel bike
With an endurance road bike you can reach high speeds and still sit comfortably in the saddle after many kilometers. A gravel bike is designed for rides on dirt roads. On the asphalt you can quickly cover distances and the larger tires provide grip off the paved roads. With the Via Nirone 7 you have the choice between an endurance road bike and a bike for gravel.
💡 About the bike
Facts
The Bianchi Via Nirone 7 is a real all-rounder as an all-road bike. It offers itself as an entry-level gravel and road bike. It is an affordable bike with a lightweight frame that is reminiscent of Bianchi's origins. You get the Nirone as an endurance road bike as well as a gravel variant. In both versions you get the allroad frame made of aluminum. The frame has a comfortable geometry and is available from frame size 44 to 63. The range of frame heights covers everyone from small to large riders.
An aluminum frame impresses with its load capacity and its low purchase price. You can continue to ride the bike even if it has taken a little damage. It is unlikely that the aluminum frame will let you down abruptly as it can happen with carbon. You can easily attach bike bags and master drops of up to 15 cm with the Nirone.
It's found in Bianchi's lower price segment and is best suited for occasional touring. It is a solid package for beginners which brings you to your destination with reliability. With the Endurance road bike you master kilometer-long excursions and as a Gravel version you can explore pure nature. Gravel bikes have only been around for about 10 years but they are becoming increasingly popular. They are versatile and offer both speed and comfort on the gravel.
History
Bianchi's beginnings started at Via Nirone 7 in Milan and the company's current headquarters is less than an hour away. As a result the Nirone 7 models can loosely be considered a matter of the heart recalling the company's origins. The Italians can look back on more than 100 years of company history. To set themselves apart from the other manufacturers, Edoardo Bianchi mixed the color Celeste. The name was derived from the Latin "Caelestis" and the color is turquoise. Over the years the Celeste hue has changed slightly but remains Bianchi's trademark.
⚙️ Components and Equipment
You get extremely reliable and robust components in the Via Nirone 7
Each model is equipped with high-quality components. Among them you will find Shimano gears, tires from Vittoria or hubs from Formula. Furthermore Bianchi relies on the quality of Selle Royal, Velomann, FSA or Kenda.
Except for the saddle the Italians rely on the products from their in-house research department for the cockpit. Through years of experience in cycling they have a very good sense of how to constantly optimize the components.
Derailleur groups
When it comes to shift groups Shimano is the preferred choice. You get the Shimano 105 on the Endurance road bike and the Shimano GRX on the Gravel variant. If necessary you can always switch to the Shimano Ultegra or a shifting group from SRAM.
The Via Nirone 7 Shimano 105 shifting group looks as follows:
- Shift lever: Shimano 105 ST-R7000 2x11sp
- Rear derailleur: Shimano GRX 400
- Front derailleur: Shimano 105 FD-R7000-L
- Crankset: Shimano FC-RS510
- Bottom bracket: Shimano SM-BBR60
- Chain: Kmc X11-1 EPT finish, 11sp
The Shimano 105 has been delivering reliable performance for years and is very popular. It is a class circuit where you don't have to worry about getting where you want to go with it. It is located in the middle price segment of Shimano and is best suited for road bikes. The first release was in 1982 and since then it is continuously improved.
The Shimano GRX equipment you get in this version:
- Shift lever: Shimano GRX 400 RD-RX400 Shadow+ Design 10sp
- Rear derailleur: Shimano 105 RD-R7000 GS 11sp
- Front derailleur: Shimano GRX 400 FD-RX400
- Crankset: Shimano FC-RX600
- Bottom bracket: Is included in the crankset
- Chain: Shimano CN-HG54 10sp
The Shimano GRX is similar in design to the 105 but there the focus is more on gravel use. It only came on the market in 2019 when Gravel bikes became more and more popular and for this a suitable gear group was required. Unlike a cyclocross bike you have a larger number of gears available.
Brakes
- With the new models you get exclusively disc brake such as the Shimano BR-R561-L or Shimano BR-RX400.
Saddle
- For the saddle, Bianchi relies on either the Selle Royal SR or the Velomann 2302HRN. Both have their specific strengths in the respective field and were carefully selected.
Seatpost
- Also for the seatpost you find a Bianchi product with the Reparto Corse AL6061 as well as the Velomann Alloy Shaft AL6061.
Handlebar & Stem
- The Endurance Nirone uses the Reparto Corse Alloy 6061 Stem and the Reparto Corse Compact Handlebar. On the gravel version you'll find the Velomann Alloy 6061 Stem and the Velomann Aluminum 6061 Handlebar. For the headset the Fsa NO.8B/ZS4D is used. The handlebar tape is made of cork and is nicely decorated with the Bianchi logo.
Wheels
- The wheelsets used are the Shimano WH-RS100 or Velomann GD24 Tubeless Ready.
Tires
- The Vittoria Zaffiro is made perfect for training and longer tours because of its durability. The tread design is even more robust and it comes at a good price. The Kenda Happy Medium is a solid tire for gravel bikes and cyclocross bikes. The center of the tire keeps you moving at a fast pace and the side lugs give you a good grip in the turns.
Additional equipment
- The composition of your shopping cart varies depending on the area of use. If you use the Nirone as a trekking bike bike bags, mudguards and some tools are recommended. If you have chosen the Nirone Endurance road bike a water bottle cage including bottle and the right clothing are sufficient.
- Since pedals are not included in the basic equipment you should look for new ones if you don't have any old pedals left. With a little luck you can also get hold of a voucher to make your purchase cheaper.

We at buycycle are happy to advise you if there are still any uncertainties. Better to ask one question too many than to choose the wrong bike or the wrong components.
