Merida Reacto - Powerful road bikes with shiny aero features.
Ike Tseng founded the company Merida in 1972 after his trip to the USA, when he noticed there that bicycles from Taiwan did not enjoy a very good reputation. In the beginning, he produced the bikes for premium manufacturers from America, before the first Merida bikes came on the market in 1988. The goal from the beginning was to produce bicycles that were a pleasure to ride and were produced with perfection. Merida therefore gives a lifetime warranty on all new frames. The company places great emphasis on working as a dedicated team to shape the path of the bike from start to finish. Each person in turn has special tasks that bring the bike to life piece by piece. For this, the basic knowledge of the previous models is taken over and optimized with the smallest changes where possible.
The new Reacto, which was launched in 2021, won a number of awards at the beginning, from renowned critics from the scene, such as Cyclingnews, who called the bike "an absolutely brilliant and flawless machine", or from Cyclingplus and Cyclingweekly. Cyclingweekly called it "one of the most complete bikes on the market." It combines aerodynamic features with plenty of comfort, so you can cut through the air like an arrow on a bumpy road without getting uncomfortable. The CF3 and CF5 frames are both made of carbon and have also been used in the World Tour. This was based on the racing experience of the predecessors and this combined with the latest technological advances. The result was an extremely fast sprinter, which also makes a good figure on remote routes, which are often peppered with potholes, and guarantees the greatest fun, through the pleasant ride.
The Reacto models are available in several versions, from the very expensive models, which are also used by professionals, down to cheaper road bikes, which are also very good for beginners and recreational riders. All of the new Reacto bikes come with the Reacto Light Seat Post tail light including battery. The new Reacto is available for purchase in frame sizes XS to XL, while the Merida Reacto Disc is also available in XXS.
The Merida Reacto Team, successor to the Merida Reacto Team-E, is a bike designed by professionals for professionals. It is used by Team Bahrain Victorious and has already won several awards. This excellent aero road bike was intensively tested until the engineers and developers were satisfied with the design and aerodynamics. With this road bike you can also ride at the front, thanks to excellent aerodynamics, fully integrated cabling and amazing comfort. Due to its extreme acceleration, it can be used well in competitions and is therefore equally well suited for ambitious recreational riders, as well as for longer distances, thanks to excellent comfort.
The Merida Reacto 8000 comes in elegant black and makes a tidy impression, thanks to the Internal Wire Port Routing. The captivating aerodynamics provide the necessary kilometers per hour, while the Disc Cooler technology ensures that the brakes work precisely. Not only is it very responsive, but it also ensures that the majority of the effort put in goes into the pedals. The CF3 carbon frame impresses with its low weight as well as the low air resistance, due to the aerodynamic property, which deserve their respect.
With the Merida Reacto 7000, the Rival eTap AXS is available as a shifting group, which has an integrated power meter.
