You can expand your horizons with a Canyon e-bike
Canyon e-bikes give you the power you need where you would otherwise need an energy bar or a break. They carry you up the mountain or push you the last few kilometers over long plains or even challenging forest sections. They guarantee you pure riding pleasure even when your personal battery is running low.
Facts
The electric motor on the e-bikes can be switched on or off as required. It is ideal for when you want to glide along like an eel or when you want to go for another spin. Just when you're running out of power, the bike lifts you up a notch so that you can accelerate again.
Depending on the model, Canyon e-bikes are available with an aluminum frame or a carbon frame. The aluminum versions are slightly heavier, but they can still be used if the frame is slightly damaged. The carbon frame, on the other hand, is the feather-light version, but it has to be taken to the workshop immediately in the event of a hairline crack. In terms of price, you usually have to pay more for carbon bikes, but this also depends on the components.
For a good frame geometry with good rigidity, the motor and battery are integrated inside the frame. Apart from the weight, they are in no way inferior to classic bikes.
E-mountain bike: With an MTB, you can ride the trails for hours on end or let off steam in the bike park until you run out of steam on the descents. They come with a variety of high-quality components so that you can race between the trees. They master jumps over crests or boulders with flying colors and pull their trenches on any trail, no matter how demanding. Canyon has various hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes in its range, with different areas of use:
Cross-country: Canyon Grand Canyon:ON
Trail: Canyon Neuron:ON, Canyon Spectral:ON
Freeride: Canyon Strive:ON
Enduro: Canyon Torque:ON
E-road bike: Canyon has the Roadlite:ON in its range as a racer with a motor. Not only is the acceleration like that of a Leopard, but the top speed can also easily keep up. With top speeds of up to 90 km/h, it really heats up on the asphalt and even makes the predator look cold. You can also use it for city tours or trekking with the family.
Road bike: Canyon Roadlite:ON
E-gravel bike: With a gravel bike, you have the geometry of a road bike and the tire width is similar to that of an MTB. This allows you to sweep quickly over the roads and also conquer easy trails.
Gravel: Canyon Grail:ON
City e-bike: As the name suggests, this is the best weapon for getting through the urban jungle. With a luggage rack, you always have everything you need for your activities or simply to load up your shopping.
City: Commuter:ON, Precede:ON, Roadlite:ON
Trekking e-bike: You get wide tires with full equipment on the trekking e-bikes so that you can immerse yourself in nature without any problems. They are as flexible as the colors of a rainbow, with many different facets.
Trekking: Pathlite:ON, Roadlite:ON
History of Canyon
The origins of Canyon can be found at Radsport Arnold. It was founded by Roman and Franc Arnold after the early death of their father. Since 2002, the bikes have been brought out under the new name Canyon. Their popularity has continued to grow, so that the company now has over 1400 employees worldwide, and the trend is rising.
With Canyon e-bikes, as with the other Canyon bikes, you have the option of leasing them via JobRad. All you have to do is be employed by a German company or have your own company based in Germany. You can save almost 40% tax-free and have the option of purchasing the bike at the end of the leasing period. You can also purchase approved accessories to use the complete bike for your commute to work straight away.

The Canyon e-bikes have powerful and high-performance equipment for all situations
Even with Canyon e-bikes, you don't have to do without the usual workhorses or high-performance packages. Almost the same well-known manufacturers are used as for the regular bikes, apart from the additional drive.
Gear groups
As with the regular bikes, Canyon relies on the expertise of Shimano and SRAM for the choice of drivetrains. The product ranges have been developed to achieve the best performance in their respective fields.
Brakes
Disc brakes are actually necessary due to the high speeds of e-bikes. They not only ensure precise braking with the best possible control, but also offer full performance in the rain.
Drive systems
The motor and battery are the key to success when it comes to the performance of your e-bike. This determines how much power you can put on the track and how long you can ride for. A distinction is made between watts and watt hours: Watts stand for the power output, while watt hours provide information about the duration of use. For both, the higher the better.
The technology for the Canyon drive is supplied by three manufacturers: Bosch, Fazua and Shimano. Which brand and power you get depends on the model and your configuration. No matter which bike you choose, you can rely on the performance of the three manufacturers. This is why they are also often found on e-bikes from other premium manufacturers. They also appreciate the fact that their products run like a well-oiled machine.
Saddle / seat post
The choice of saddle usually depends on where the bike will be used. Road bikes often have narrower and sportier models to save weight. On a gravel bike or mountain bike, the focus is more on comfort, although legroom is also important on a mountain bike.
The seat post is available as a rigid model, with less weight and better stiffness, and as a dropper post. With the latter, also known as a telescopic seatpost, you have the option of adjusting the height to adapt your riding position to the terrain.
Handlebars & stem
The front part of the cockpit is also responsible for the correct riding position and here, too, the benefits decide which model is used. The better the cockpit is adjusted to the rider, the more enjoyable the outings will be.
Wheels / tires
Depending on the model and intended use, you will get different wheels and tires. Smaller frame sizes behave better with a 27.5 wheel set and on a mullet bike you have small tires at the rear and 29 inch tires at the front. With the larger tires, you can achieve higher speeds and have a pleasantly smooth ride.
Additional equipment
As with some components, the type of bike you have and where you use it is also crucial when it comes to accessories. A gravel or trekking bike looks good with panniers, while you'd better have some protective clothing for mountain biking.
How do I know which of the Canyon e-bikes is suitable for my purposes?
As explained above, Canyon e-bikes are available in different categories and price ranges. If you use your bike almost exclusively on the road, take a look at the road, city or trekking e-bikes.
You've made the right choice with a mountain bike if you enjoy adventurous rides through the forest. They have the best traction control and the most comfort to really have fun.
A gravel bike can also master the odd forest trail, but you shouldn't get too reckless. It still has the geometry of a road bike and is therefore not quite as agile on the road. On the other hand, you can accelerate on the asphalt.
